MY THOUGHTS ON THE CORONA VIRUS
I feel this current pandemic is an opportunity for the collective. A wake-up call, if you will.
We run around like we’re mad, chasing the almighty dollar, working ourselves to the bone, neglecting our loved ones, neglecting our spiritual selves.
We eat on the run, stopping at the drive-thru of the nearest fast food restaurant, grabbing unhealthy foods in the name of saving precious time.
We are so exhausted from working 12+ hours day, many of us sitting at desks in front of computers, we fall into our favorite sofa or chair when we get home and mindlessly watch the television. What are we so desperate to escape?
We find ourselves too tired to exercise and vow to start that workout regimen when the work week is over, when this big project is completed… when we find time.
We promise ourselves we’ll eat better, starting tomorrow.
We vow to take that long-awaited vacation with our family…soon.
As soon as we notice we have a common cold or flu we rush to the doctor for that antibiotic that will kill everything that ails us. We down those pills to take away the pain in our backs, our legs, our hands. We find ourselves needing more of them as our bodies build up a tolerance.
We’ve forgotten that nature gave us solutions to what ails us. We’ve forgotten that our bodies know how to heal themselves.
Children heal more easily because their immune system is working! They don’t have all the toxic buildup in their systems. Our bodies have to filter out the toxins first before they can begin to attack the new infiltrators.
We watch the news reporting disaster after disaster all over the world, spreading fear and negativity.
Fear begets fear. Fear is contagious. Fear suppresses the immune system. Fear separates us, divides us. Fear causes mistrust.
The world is changing. Love is building. Focus on love. Focus on the good. Look for what’s right, not what’s wrong. Avoid projecting what could go wrong.
This will change our economy, our healthcare system, the way we do business going forward.
A lot of these changes will be for the better. We will get through this. We are not all going to die. We will learn the lessons we are meant to learn. We will be stronger and better when this latest event has passed.
We are being forced to slow down, to better prepare ourselves, to look at our overall health, to question what really matters. This is necessary to grow and evolve and expand our consciousness. This virus is not racist. It doesn’t judge, nor select certain cultures or the poorest of society. This can affect anyone. This is a reminder that we are not separate. We are all one. We are spirits having a human experience. We are all in this together. You are not alone. Ultimately, everything will be okay - Lil’s Evolution, March 15, 2020
